"Does it Matter How Long I Wash my Hands?"
Many people have asked some variation of this question at some point or another. Many people tend to believe "it doesn't matter how long I wash my hands as long as I use soap!" Dispite soap's antimicrobial properties, that line of thinking is unfortunately false.
Evidence suggests you need to scrub your hands with soap for a minimum of 20 seconds to
effectively remove germs.
Soap functions much like a disinfectant: if you do not use it for the recommended dwell time, you won't
get the outcomes you desire.
